How to setup POP3 in Andriod

This guide provides instructions for configuring an Android device, using the default Mail application, to access your email account via POP3.

1. Tap the Email icon.
2. Tap the left navigation button to bring up the below menu, then tap Settings:
3. Tap Add account
4. Enter in the following information:
Email address: Full Email Address
Password: As chosen during account setup via Email Administration interface
5. Tap the Manual Setup button.
6. For “What type of account?” tap the POP3 account button.
7. Enter in the following information:
POP3 server: mail.yourdomain.com
Port: 110
Security Type: None / Off
8. Tap Next
9. For Outgoing server settings, enter in the following information
SMTP server: mail.yourdomain.com
Port: 25 or 26
Security Type: None / Off
10. Ensure that Require sign-in is checked
11. Scroll down and enter the following information:
Username: Full Email Address
Password: As chosen during account setup via Email Administration interface
12. Tap the Next button.
13. Configure your sync frequencies and notification options to suit.
14. Click Next
15. Type in the following information:
“Give this account a name (optional)": Any value you wish
“Your name (Displayed on outgoing messages)": type in the name you prefer to be shown as the 'From' address on emails you send.
16. Tap the Next button
17. Setup will then complete.
